This is a page that developed from a book called "Integrated Digital Oil Organization" IDOO. The book is about transformation today E&P organization to Integrated Digital Oil Organization (IDOO) by Adel AlAbbasi. The concept and practical solutions present my vision, and the knowledge assimilated from my throughs and experience in the last 10 years as the leader of KwDIF project, Research & Technology team's member as well as a senior executive of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
The book is divided into 3. Part-I "The Concept", Part-II "The Elements" and Part-III "The Execution and future outlook". The Parts addresses The following:
- The concept of Integrated Digital Oil Company (IDOO), what distinguish this concept from others such as Digital Oil Field or Smartfield and its benefits
- The Seven Elements of IDOO.
- How an organization with mature knowledge of DOF upgrade to IDOC and harvest the value from today huge investment on past DOF project(S)
- As for new organization in the planning stage, I will propose a practical roadmap that will support leadership and project managers to start smart and not small.

Even though, Digital Oil Field (DOF) is considered as one important layer of the IDOO (Integrated Digital Oil Company) and may create considerable business value, I believe not, that automation of field operation or reservoir development is (are) the ultimate solution. The solution is rooted in the integration of E&P’s End-to-End multidisciplinary functions. Today Management make the critical decision and that reflected through planning guidelines to an organization to make it happen, and with no surprise most of the time it would not happen. This book attempts to present integrate strategic management, organization streamlining, humanistic factor, Technology, information and knowledge into a cohesive model. This book also addresses the practical side of such large-scale organization transformation. This concept is based on my personal vision and experience as originator of KwDIF project and Research and Technology Group Kuwait Oil Company. During this journey, I have been fortunate to have several colleagues that shown unflagging support.
